Weekend Bits & Pieces

Well, the inspection did not go well on Firethorn. There were some fairly extensive drainage and foundation problems revealed and we were not willing to take on projects of that magnitude, so the deal is off. Disappointing, because we loved the house. But we are hopeful the right house is out there waiting for us. Saturday, we took Audrey to Family Days at the History Museum, where they were celebrating Ice Cream Month. On Sunday, after Tommy's birthday party, we went to three open houses--all were a bust. I'm feeling a little defeated and exhausted. And very eager for vacation.A few more weeks of preparing this house and then I'm ready for a break.
