Last night we had the greatest birthday celebration at our house for Lindsey, my dad, and both brothers. After everyone left, Lindsey opened his gifts from his family. Such wonderful and thoughtful treasures. His parents sent him a gift for each decade, with old photos and mementos from the years. Poems he'd written in high school that were so funny and lovely. (Hint. Hint. Write. More.) And the gifts from his sister were so adorable. It was a quiet sweet evening. Tonight--we are going to the horse races with friends. We've been wanting to go forever. I can't wait. Audrey is so excited for Easter. It should be a fabulous weekend.
