While I have a lot at work to be stressed about (including the probable loss of my rock star assistant), I find myself not even caring or worrying too much because hey, I could be in Japan or Libya. My cousin is stationed in Japan and we were hopeful she was going to be evacuated with military family and non-essential personnel. But we got word on Thursday that she has to stay. So many tragic world events right now--truly depressing. I feel like all I can do is hug my own a little harder and just try to find ways to make a positive impact wherever I can, however small.
All week I meant to blog about the incredible SGC International Conference going on in St. Louis this weekend. There are tons of activities associated with it. My friend Katy send me a list of 47 things (no lie!). I can't wait to see the traveling print truck with a portable tabletop letterpress from my friend Eric Woods, owner of Firecracker Press.
Just three tiny tidbits to share this week:
- There aren't words for how much I love this before and after project from frecklewonder.
- Someone will make you a custom Frida doll! We would have one of these, if Audrey wasn't so afraid of her uni-brow.
- And finally, I watched this Miranda July video at least five times this week. I. Love. It.
