Vintage Aprons

One of my goals this year is to take a thorough inventory of all of my vintage aprons. This will be no small task, with somewhere between 500-800 in the collection. My acquisition pace has slowed to maybe a couple a year, only buying those that are really unique from anything I already have. My idea is to photograph them all and post them online, either on flickr or a blog of some sort. If I have them cataloged this way, I think I will finally be able to part with a large percentage of them. (Maybe?) I am breaking this project down into four parts, or I will never make progress.

1. Purchase a new camera. Right now I have two that I am testing.
2. Purchase a dress form of some kind for display. I'm researching this, but the supply available, sadly isn't meeting my aesthetic demand.
3. Ironing. (Volunteers welcomed!)
4. Taking photos, editing, posting.

Looking at this, it seems overwhelming. Is it necessary?  If I want to let some things go, maybe I should just let them go entirely. I mean wouldn't it be much more fun to just pick an apron a day to mail to some random person that has somehow inspired me? Or has somehow made my community better? Someone I think might enjoy and appreciate a magical little vintage surprise of this sort? My mind is spinning with the possibilities...more to come.
